Moonraker Trails
Moonrakers offer something for everyone with classic fast, flowy, single track riding with outstanding views. The system has lots of technical sections, but also many intermediate and some easy sections. Some singletracks have lots of roots.
The smooth flow of the trails makes this system a great choice for those somewhat new to trail riding. Notwithstanding, there are several trails that more hardened riders will enjoy for either fast cornering descents (Devil’s Slide, Moonraker Trail) or steeper technical terrain (LSD, Canyon Creek). Combining your rides in Moonrakers with the trails of the CBT Mainline will offer some of the best riding in the province.
Canyon Creek trail is connected to Moonraker trail system and offers challenging uphill and spectacular downhill along the canyon’s rim. The trail is definitely not for those with a fear of heights.
The CBT trails offer an approach to the Moonraker system from downtown Golden. The recently expanded CBT Mainline trails are superb single track rides in their own right.
In winter the Moonraker trails are also popular with cross country skiers and snowshoers looking for a more natural experience.
